Privacy policy
Last updated 4 November 2026
This policy explains what information the Story Monster TV website (storymonster.tv) collects, why, and what we do with it. We keep it short because we collect very little.
What we collect
When you use the contact form, we receive what you type: your name, email address, company (if you give one), the reason you chose and your message. The form emails it to our team so we can reply. The website itself does not keep a copy; it stays in our email for as long as we need it to answer you and keep a record of our conversation.
When you visit any page, our hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes the technical information every website receives, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you request. It uses this to deliver the site and protect it from abuse and automated attacks.
We don't use analytics or advertising trackers, we don't build profiles of visitors, and we don't sell or rent personal information. Because we don't track visitors over time or across other websites, the site works the same whether or not your browser sends a “Do Not Track” signal.
Spam protection
The contact form is protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks that a person, not an automated program, is sending the message. To do that, Cloudflare looks at signals from your browser and device. It does not show ads or track you across other websites.
Videos
Trailers and reels play from YouTube (in its privacy-enhanced mode) or Vimeo (with “do not track” turned on). Nothing loads from them until you press play. Once you do, the video provider’s own privacy policy applies, and it may set cookies or store data in your browser.
Cookies
We don’t use cookies for analytics or advertising. Cloudflare may set these strictly necessary security cookies:
- __cf_bm: helps tell people from automated traffic. It expires after 30 minutes of inactivity.
- cf_clearance: remembers that your browser passed a security check, so you aren’t asked again.
People who sign in to edit the website also receive sign-in cookies. Visitors never do. Video providers may set their own cookies once you play a video (see Videos above).
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block Cloudflare’s security cookies, you may be asked to complete a security check more often.
Who we share it with
We share information only with the service providers that run the website for us: Cloudflare, for hosting, security, spam protection and sending contact form emails, and YouTube or Vimeo when you play a video. We may also disclose information if the law requires it.
Your choices
You can ask us what information we have about you, or ask us to correct or delete it, by emailing john.rieber@storymonster.tv. We’ll answer as soon as we can.
Children
This website is not directed at children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If we change this policy, we’ll update it on this page and change the “Last updated” date.
